brushing

i had braids for about 8-9 years, i finally cut it. I don't know anything about getting waves, can somebody help. What type of brush should i use and what direction to i brush the sides. Should i keep my durag on most of the day? Thanks for the help, by the way i have somewhat good hair

USE WHATEVER BRUSH THATS COMFORTABLE TO YOU. A DURAG IS ONLY FOR LAYING YOUR HAIR DOWN, AND KEEPING HAIR IN PLACE WHEN SLEEPING. ASK FOR BRUSHING YOUR SIDES, BRUSH @ A ANGLE.
