Default washing hair

i have just started trying to get waves, been doing it for about 2 weeks. ive noticed waves appearing but when i wash my hair i notice that some of the waves disappear and my hair doesnt flaten mainly on the sides. im thinking its because of the way i wash it.

what i do is lather my hair with the shampoo and brush it through

im wondering how do you do it so you dont lose any of your progress?
and do you wash your hair everyday?

thanks

When you get in the shower, brush your hair under the running water for about 5 minutes. After that, apply shampoo of your choice.(I recommend using WaveBuilder's wash in Waves). While the shampoo is in your hair, use a hard or medium brush depending how high your hair is and brush it vigorously to get all that stuff in your hair out. It's best that you wash your hair every other day.Good Luck!!
